"The Enforcer" and "A Star is Born" were both released nationwide on the same day.  Streisand and Kristofferson refused to do talk shows.  Clint Eastwood was on location shooting another film. 

When they asked M.G. Kelly to go on tour for the studio and promote both films, Kelly said to his agent:

"How did I luck into this, is the catering guy for the studio out of town too?"
